THE CAM
has been placed in a window inside the fish bowl, pointed to an area of the spring where the manatees spend time eating and playing. We should see some good pictures of manatees and fish at this new location. Please feel free to send us your input about the cam and where it is located. Fishbowl
Fishbowl
The ManateeCam at the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. The camera takes pictures from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM everyday in thirty second increments and uploads the images to the internet where it can be viewed LIVE. Because of the light of day and shadows that are cast into the spring, some of the best pictures are taken around 2:00 PM. The camera is positioned to take pictures directly into the spring where the Manatee swim. Other than Manatee, the camera also takes pictures of the many fish that frequent the spring. These fish include Crevalle Jack, Sheepshead, Mullet, Snook, and Gar.

The Observatory
Known as the Fishbowl, gives a complete 360 degree view of the spring that the observatory is on (Click here to view the spring from the observatory). The area around the spring is designed to house the Manatees in the park but still allow fish from the river to come in and out. Attached to the fishbowl is an area where the Manatee can eat called the Saladbar. The Saladbar is a floating enclosure that the Manatee can swim in and out of to eat their food.
